Lorde releases Green Light - new Lorde song and video

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Lorde said that Melodrama is ready her "first principal heartbreak," which could be a reference to her 2016 break up from James Lowe. "It's not something that I definitely am used to writing about," she said. "It took me some time with the intention to figure out how to write approximately that."
